Bridging Learners, Parents, and Teachers
Academic Clinics are structured and consultative sessions held each academic term across all forms, Form 1 to Form 4, aimed at promoting continuous academic improvement, close monitoring of learners’ progress, and fostering collaboration between parents, teachers, and students. These clinics are a key pillar in the school’s commitment to providing quality education and individualized learner support.
During the clinics, parents are invited to school to engage in one-on-one consultations with subject teachers, class teachers, and members of the academic office. Teachers provide detailed feedback on each student’s academic performance, class participation, homework consistency, discipline, and general attitude toward learning. Performance reports and progress charts are often reviewed to identify both strengths and areas needing improvement.
For Form 4 candidates, the clinics are particularly critical. They focus on KCSE preparedness, time management, setting revision targets, and giving students a final academic push through guidance and encouragement. Parents also receive updates on syllabus coverage and strategies in place to help candidates improve weak areas before exams.
The sessions provide an opportunity to:
- Discuss subject-specific challenges with teachers.
- Understand learning trends and academic goals.
- Explore support strategies such as remedial classes, group work, or extra coaching.
- Address behavioral or motivational concerns affecting academic outcomes
Overall, academic clinics serve as an effective communication bridge between the school and families, reinforcing shared responsibility in a student’s academic journey. They are designed not only to track grades but to motivate learners, involve parents actively, and ensure every student receives the attention they need to thrive both academically and personally.
